Our method begins by separating facts, claims, experience, and interpretation.
What the evidence labels mean
A specification checked against an identified source. This does not mean we have independently tested the machine.
A result supported by a documented test we actually performed. No such product testing is published in this bootstrap.
A statement made by the manufacturer, labeled as a claim rather than a measured result.
Attributed experience from an identified owner source. It is not our testing experience.
Our interpretation of cited evidence, with reasoning and limitations made explicit.
What enters a comparison
Each product needs a verified identity, a source URL, a source type, and a verification date. Each populated specification also needs its own provenance. Unknown fields are omitted from profiles and left blank in comparisons; they are never converted into a guessed number or a “No.”
Price comparisons must identify currency and market context. A source verification date tells you when we checked information; it does not guarantee that prices or availability remain current.
What earns a recommendation
The active Finder rule set is spinshot-source-backed-v1, version 2026-10-01. It uses verified same-currency budget limits plus required programmable-drill and app-control fields. A required feature must be explicitly verified as present; unknown values never count as a match.
Skill level, portability importance, and session length are currently collected but do not raise or lower a match because the current catalog lacks verified product-level skill/portability fields and has unresolved battery-runtime evidence. Finder matches are an unranked shortlist, not winners or quality scores.
We do not publish invented star ratings, review counts, scarcity, countdowns, or product testing experience. We do not make medical claims.

Current coverage
